For over Sixty years T H Barnes has been committed to construction of some of Blenheim's most prominent buildings. Not only buildings, but several of Marlborough's most well known bridges including Spring Creek Ferry Bridge, Taylor River Bridge, Waihopai River Bridge, Omaka Bridge have been built by us.

The 70's and 80's saw the construction of Blenheim Post Office (1971), Marlborough District council Beehive, Blenheim indoor swimming pool (1986), Grassmere House (1974), Pizza Hut (1986) Queens Market Mall (1984) Wairau Hospital Wards 7 & 8 (1973), Branch River Power scheme spillway gully works (1983) just to name a few.
1986 saw the construction of Lifetime House in Market Street. A five Story office complex stilled owned by T H Barnes and commercially leased to all types of businesses local and out of town.
The 1990's saw lots of variety as well ranging from Provincial Coldstores, Retirement Villages, Ashwood Park and Bethsaida (1990, 1995), Spring Creek Ferry Bridge(1992) Flaxbourne Station Homestead (1995 House of the Year), BP Main Street(1996), Taylor River Bridge.
With Marlborough's booming Grape industry 2000 onwards has seen the construction of several Wineries, numerous extensions to existing buildings and more Wine Storage Tanks installed, Wine Bottlers Marlborough and Spring Creek Vintners to name a couple. Springlands Medical Centre, Bohally Technology Centre, Young House, Extensions to properties down the sounds and two new Villas at Bethsaida also kept our builders busy. More recently T H Barnes has completed the Dart at ARA Vineyard, Springlands Lifestyle Village Stage 1 and Villas, the Giesen Sports and Events Centre in Renwick, Building 1 on the London Quay Redevelopment in Picton, the Redwood Early Learning Centre and Internal Refurbishment of the Blenheim Countdown Supermarket (carried out at night over a 3 month period).
Among our latest projects are the Blenheim CPPS Facility for the Department of Corrections, three relocatable classrooms at Bohally Intermediate School which were completed in just 8 weeks over the Chridtmas period, and refurbishment of the Public Toilets at Blenheim Airport.
